The scar on Skye’s knee is in the shape of a smiley face
Tale
While preparing to go on a world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley begins to experience increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Shaken by the mounting horrors and pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her past.. In one of the walls, Skye places a bottle of VOSS water on the stone/marble kitchen counter, and a sound is heard corresponding to the sound of something plastic, placed on it.
Shown in Project 7PM: Episode of October 17, 2024 (2024)
VOSS water bottles are made of glass, which is actually specially emphasized in the film, and therefore the sound does not match the actual action.. Skye Riley: [Essence of Smiles] You’re not in control, I’m in control!. A very disturbing image of the Smile phenomenon using a pop music wall and celebrity culture as a background.
It also presents some deep themes of toxic pop star culture
Skye, the central character, is at the center of this terrifying story, which presents layers upon layers of a man’s life spiraling out of control. We see most of the story from Skye’s point of view, and so the film does a great job of creating sympathy for the character, despite all her moral flaws. In the film, the smile takes on many meanings, as it also reflects the pressure of appearing and smiling in front of the cameras when someone’s mental health is in shambles.
If you like body horror, you will like it
Her mother, her assistant, and the worshipers seem sane in this chaos, but their actions seem to become instruments of torture. It’s so disturbing, personally I feel that Skye is going through too much, and in the end I was just relieved that the movie was over. The film is quite scary, but it disturbs more than scares.
