Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (Priory in Rivals)
Tale
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. The same filming location was also used to depict Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC television adaptation of Poldark.
5 minutes into the first episode and I was hooked
I was also nervous because I was a fan of the books. The clothes, the makeup, the music ~ what a soundtrack.
All the characters are so unique and played so well, the acting and the cast are great
Each episode is fast paced, there are no occasions where you get bored or feel like it’s dragged out like it often happens with many of these miniseries. I understand the disappointment of Rupert’s appearance change; but it’s not really a big deal, nor does it have any lasting effect.
Please, let there be more
This series is fun, bold, colorful and nostalgic. It doesn’t disappoint at all, and we can take a moment to appreciate David Tennent, who once again plays the 'evil' man perfectly.
